DIRECTIONS

  • Prepare rice according to package directions, cooking for 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium saucepan. Add onions and garlic. Sauté 1 minute. Add potatoes; fry for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add tomatoes and peas, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add Garam Masala and salt.
  • Stir in partially cooked rice and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover. Continue cooking 20-25 minutes or until rice and potatoes are soft. Stir in cilantro.
